Overview

The Clinical Coordinator performs under the of the Program Director. The Clinical Coordinator has overall responsibility for the supervision of the clinical educational experience. The Clinical Coordinator recruits clinical sites and evaluates the clinical experience offered to the students at each site.

Responsibilities

  • Correlate and coordinate clinical education to expected curricular outcomes and evaluate its effectiveness
  • Evaluate the progress of student performance in the clinical area
  • Assist the Program Director in coordinating clinical education
  • Supervise student performance at clinical affiliates
  • Develop student objectives and evaluation tools for clinical education
  • Perform competency based clinical evaluations
  • Maintain student clinical assignments and attendance
  • Act as resource to sonography students
  • Develop the schedule of student clinical assignments to match established JRDMS guidelines
  • Assist in continuous program assessment
  • Instruct specific units of teaching as necessary
  • Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress
  • Pursue continuing education in professional practice and instructional methodology
  • Cooperate with the Program Director in periodic review and revision of clinical course material
  • Provide training and education to clinical preceptors
  • Travel to and conduct site visits of affiliate clinical sites
  • Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES (if applicable):

  • Personnel supporting the Program (e.g. staff, adjunct faculty)

Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree required
  • Graduate of an educational program in Sonography
  • Documents the equivalent of two-year full-time experience in the professional discipline
  • Previous teaching experience preferred
  • Proficient in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and counseling
  • State certificate as a sonographer
  • 2 years of clinical experience as a sonographer

Maximum Salary

USD $95,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $76,000.00/Yr.
