Overview

Touro University California invites applications for the faculty position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor of our new Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Program.

 

The successful candidate will be required to hold academic and/or professional credentials appropriate to the subject area. Being a registered Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) with the California Department of Public Health-Radiation Health Branch (CDPH-RHB) and/or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is preferred. The position requires didactic teaching (lecture and lab), mentorship, precepting, exam proctoring, interdisciplinary education, and participating in academic and service responsibilities at the College and University. Preference will be given to applicants with teaching experience.

 

This is an excellent opportunity to work with, educate, and mentor our future radiographers on our Vallejo campus, located in the beautiful Bay Area.

Responsibilities

  • Development and delivery of a portion of the curriculum, including exam item writing and proctoring
  • Prepares for and teaches courses every semester
  • Develop an assessment plan to ensure course effectiveness
  • Mentorship of Touro University Radiologic Technology (RT) students
  • Plan and conduct academic advisement sessions
  • Provide service on College and University committees
  • Attend and participate in departmental meetings
  • Participate in continuing education activities
  • Perform other faculty duties as appropriate and determined by the program director or dean
  • Provide reports and other documents as requested by program director or dean

Qualifications

 

The applicant should be committed to the support and development of the next generation of enthusiastic diagnostic Radiologic Technologists (Rad Techs). This would include (but not necessarily limited to) developing and implementing course curriculum and functioning as instructional leader for the Rad Tech program.

 

  • Baccalaureate or Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Certified by the CDPH-RHB and/or the ARRT.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of clinical experience as a registered Radiologic Technologist (RT).
  • Teaching experience preferred.
  • Strong commitment to the professional development of Radiologic Technology (RT).
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
  • Active participation in professional societies at the local, state, and/or national levels, including the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) preferred.
  • Personal integrity.

Maximum Salary

USD $125.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $70.00/Hr.
