Overview

Youth Health Educator; Part-time (approximately 20 hours/week). The hours are flexible but include day-time activities.

Responsibilities

PATHS program is a youth development and substance use prevention project. This program works directly with VCUSD students in high school classes and after school activities.

The focus of this position is to assist program staff in conducting student focus groups, summarizing results, and conducting classroom activities. This position will include working with the PATHS program staff and with high school students to develop a substance use prevention and policy change program.

Qualifications

Required:

 

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Experience working directly with youth programs
  • Ability to work in a team setting.
  • Experience working with health promotion programs/activities.

 

Recommended:

 

  • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
  • Conducting educational programs with youth
  • Experience conducting focus groups and/or qualitative analysis
  • Experience working with low-income ethnical diverse youth

Maximum Salary

USD $13,000.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $10,400.00/Yr.
