Overview

Touro University Worldwide (TUW) is seeking a full-time Field Education Director for its online Bachelor of Arts in Social Work Program in the Los Alamitos, CA location. The Field Education Director will report to the BASW Program Director and the Provost.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership through practice and field instruction experience
  • Oversee field education requirements of the program in full compliance with applicable agencies and associations (e.g., CSWE, WSCUC, NASW)
  • In collaboration with the Program Director provide oversight in the approval, maintenance and mentoring students in practicum placement sites
  • Assist practicum site supervisors in understanding university standards and requirements
  • Review practicum site documentation to insure compliance with program mandates
  • Interact with an academically and culturally diverse student population
  • Attend monthly Academic Council meetings
  • Attend faculty meetings as applicable
  • Attend yearly CSWE workshops and applicable accreditation agencies/associations as applicable
  • Teach at least one program core course in addition to one practice and practicum set of courses
  • Provide timely responses and grading for students
  • Other Duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Terminal degree in Social Work or related field (Preferred)
  • Graduate of a CSWE-accredited Master of Social Work Program
  • Minimum two years of post-masters social work practice experience
  • Two years of online teaching experience in higher education
  • CSWE member
  • Proficient in Microsoft Business Suite.
  • Professional communication skills, oral and written, and basic math skills are required
