The Administrative Coordinator of Clinical Faculty Development reports directly to:

  • Assistant Dean of Clinical Faculty Development

The Administrative Coordinator of Clinical Faculty Development will work primarily with:

  • Assistant Dean of Clinical Faculty Development
  • Other members of The Senior Associate Dean’s Office
  • Faculty and students in clinical training years III and IV and Clinical Training staff and faculty at clinical sites affiliated with COM

Creative aspects of this position involve planning, organizing, creative development, distribution, and publishing using multiple technological solutions.

 

Collaborative aspects of this position involve collaboration and communication with other Clinical Site medical staff, Lecturers, Graduate Medical Education Department Continuing Medical Education department and students.

Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the development and delivery of continuing education and faculty development events.
    • Maintenance and management of mailing lists, newsletters, and announcements.
    • Liaison with Clinical Affiliates, CME, CED, and GME departments, and COM staff and faculty to facilitate faculty development programs and improved relations.
    • General administrative tasks for faculty development sessions examples: photocopying, meeting scheduling, web events, conferences, room reservations, submission of forms, and posting materials.
    • Assist with processing payment and reimbursement, room reservations, and catering requests for clinical faculty development events.
    • Assist with the administrative and technological aspects of the creation of enduring materials and clinical faculty development curricular materials online.
    • Support and communicate with guest lecturers.
  • Administrative support in programmatic outcomes evaluation and needs assessments.
    • Recording outcome data for Clinical Distinction and Clinical Faculty development programs.
    • Assist with the development, publishing, and distribution of the clinical faculty development reports.
  • High-level capacity to use multiple software platforms. We currently use more than 16 programs in addition to Microsoft Office 365.Interface with IT staff at TUCOM, Canvas, EEDS, DatAvail and other vendor platforms
  • Assists with the development and implementation of new systems and procedures

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred, minimum two years study at an accredited College/University or equivalent job experience at healthcare/academic/business setting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with ability to establish rapport and work with administrative staff, hospital administrators and physicians as well as students, staff and core faculty.
  • Must have excellent writing skills
  • Work well with different personalities in a professional manner
  • Organizational and time management skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in developing solutions
  • Ability to learn new software platforms and find creative solutions using technology
